VISITING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Wondering what to expect?
ELC is known as The Welcome Place. We have a "come as you are" attitude and our congregation wears everything from suits to sneakers.
We LOVE children to actively participate in worship, but do offer a nursery for those who need it. We suggest you allow extra time for parking. We are a large and active church, but let's face it: we're in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Our parking lot is only so big, so come early to grab parking and a cup of coffee, or allow time to walk a block. |
The order of worship is projected onto screens, and a bulletin is provided for those who would like to follow along with the hymnal. ELC has a variety of worship styles. We offer a quiet and reflective Holden Evening Prayer, a more traditional service with organ, put together bands, and even a jazz style service once in a while.
Worship times are 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings during the school year, and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:30 a.m. on Sundays during the summer (Memorial Day weekend through August 18). Other questions? Stop by the Welcome Center for a friendly hello and find out more! We pray you will find at ELC a warm and inviting worship space, lots of friendly faces, and leave here feeling lifted by the Holy Spirit! |
