VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 
Sunday School is back to meeting in-person from 9:45-10:30 every Sunday! Come for Bible stories, activities, music, and more! Our Faith Milestone Program is also part of our program. Each packet is specific to the age of your children and their particular milestone or age. Look for those instructions separately. This will help your younger children stay occupied during worship and will provide your older children incentive to keep up with their Faith Milestones.

Family Faith Time

Together in Faith - a milestone based curriculum where each class has a milestone to reach by the end of the school year. Each class has a chance to participate in worship during our "Milestone Worship Service" at the end of May.
  1. Text Books – the Bible is our text book for every grade level. Bibles are provided in classrooms for 4PK-2nd grade. Children received their own Bibles as a gift from the church in 3rd grade. From this point on, the children bring their Bible each week.

SUGAR CREEK BIBLE CAMP

We are so fortunate to have Sugar Creek Bible Camp just a few minutes away. Sugar Creek offers many camps for many people! There is Summer Bible Camp, Confirmation Camp, Family Camp, Explorer Day, and others! Scholarships are available.

P.A.C.K.

We wanted to help 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students become better acquainted. We named this group “The PACK” – Pre-confirmation Activities at Church for Kids.

Our goal is to provide an opportunity for our students to build relationships with one another, God, and their church family.  Many students in our Sunday School classes attend different schools. We want to give them the opportunity to really get to know each other, as it is hard to do in few minutes we have of Sunday School each week.
 
We have planned gatherings once a month October-April that run from 6:30-8:30pm here at English Lutheran Church.  This is designed for our 4th, 5th and 6th grade students.

            6:45-8:00       Activity planned for the evening
            8:00-8:25       Snack and “social hour”
            8:25-8:30       Closing Prayer

We also like parents to volunteer as chaperone and provide snacks/drinks.
Every year we start our summer with Vacation Bible School. Our programs run Monday-Thursday the week of June 20-23, 2022. We will be offering a morning Pre-School and elementary school program. UPDATED 06/09/22: We were notified last week that Sugar Creek Bible Camp will not be hosting day camps this summer. But we came up with a plan we are excited about and recruited older youth to step in and work with us to create a fun camp experience for your children!

Here are the details:
  • Camp is 9am-12:15pm Monday-Thursday. (drop off 8:45-9am)
  • The preschool program will be extended 45 minutes.
  • The elementary program will be shortened.
  • Lunch will be provided for everyone! We will let you know the menu next week. If we are having something your child does not prefer, you are welcome to send them with a sack lunch.
  • Each child should bring a box of crackers or fish crackers to share for the week. This will provide them a snack mid-morning. The snacks will be prepared so each child has an individual serving. 
  • Dress each day for the weather. We are hoping to do some activities outside if we are able.
  • Sunday, June 26th we invite you all to our 9:30am worship service for a VBS closing program. (more details on this to follow)
  • The camp will be NO CHARGE. If you have already paid, we will be refunding you. INVITE FRIENDS!  We are still taking registrations.  ALL ARE WELCOME.

We understand this new schedule may not work for everyone. If you need to pull your children out of the program, please let us know as soon as possible. We are also mindful of COVID conditions and will adjust our schedule and spacing as needed for the safest experience for your children.
