ADULT BAPTISM & CONFIRMATION
Beginning 10 weeks before Easter, we teach an Adult Confirmation Class called Lutheranism 101. The class is designed for three groups:
1) For those who have never been baptized.
2) For those who grew up as Lutherans but were never confirmed.
3) For those who grew up in other Christian denominations, or have not been actively involved in church, and would like to learn more about
our Lutheran beliefs and be confirmed as a Lutheran.
Even if you don't fall into one of those categories, you are welcome to attend! This is also a great brush-up class, even for life-long Lutherans.
Adult Confirmation also serves as an “Inquiry Class” for those who want more information about Christianity and Lutheran beliefs without committing themselves to anything beyond attending the class. About halfway through, participants will be invited to indicate if they desire to be baptized or confirmed. The Sacrament of Baptism and the Rite of Confirmation are celebrated at the Easter Vigil on the night before Easter.
If you want more information about Adult Confirmation or Adult Baptism, please talk to one of the pastors or call the church office.
