BAPTISMSThe child grew and became strong in spirit. (Luke 1:80)
Our baptism sets us out on a lifelong journey that is characterized by our relationship to God, our relationship to our faith community, and the wider world. Living our baptismal covenant means living a life of growth in the faith practices of discipleship. When a child is baptized, that child becomes part of the community of God. As such, church membership is required of parents so that your family can continue on your faith journey as a unit. While a majority of our baptisms are for children, we also welcome adults. Find more information here. For more information on scheduling a baptism, or for becoming members of the church prior to a child's baptism, you can contact Carol Robertson at 784-9335 x202. |
WEDDINGSBe devoted to one another in love. (Romans 12:10)
Marriage is a gift from God. It is a way of intentionally living a deep relationship with your spouse and Jesus Christ, and begins with a marriage ceremony where Christ is at the center. Wedding ceremonies are first and foremost a worship service, which celebrates your marriage. The church plans wedding ceremonies to reflect God's love for us, and your love for each other, with input from the couple. English Lutheran Church believes in marriage equality. Any couple that wishes to be in a committed, monogamous, lifelong relationship is welcome to be married here. Church membership is not required. To inquire about available dates, or for general questions about holding your wedding here, please contact Jennifer Jones at 784-9335 x 201. Wedding Booklet |
