for June will be given to Lutheran Disaster Response to help those affected by Tropical Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar.  Whole villages have been decimated.  Over 70,000 have died; many thousands more are missing.  Of special concern are the hard-hit impoverished communities around the capital and in the rural coastal areas.  The two million people made homeless by the storm likely have lost their livelihood too.  Please pray for those struggling to recover from this disaster and for disaster workers struggling to respond.  Gifts to the Hungry Jar will provide emergency aid and fund a long-term response to assist in recovery efforts.
