Why we give!
At English Lutheran, we believe generosity flows from the heart of God. As we steward what He has entrusted to us, our giving becomes a reflection of our faith and a way to share the Gospel. By honoring God with our finances, we help support ministry and outreach while spreading Christ’s love throughout La Crosse, WI, and beyond. Whether it’s your first time giving or a regular contribution, you can quickly and safely give online and help us continue spreading God’s love and serving our community.
Ways to give!
Give Online
Set up automatic withdrawals: Print this form and turn it into the church office. Your withdrawals are then set up for you on a weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly frequency.
Give by text: Text the amount you wish to give to 855.929.1663. (Use 5, 10, 15, etc. - no decimal point or dollar sign.) You'll receive a text back with further instructions.
Give via an app: Search Vanco Mobile Faith Engagement and download. Plug in 54601 or search English Lutheran. The app enables you to give recurring or one-time donations.
Give In Person
We welcome offerings given during worship services via check or cash. If you wish to make a bequest gift or include English Lutheran in your estate planning, please contact the church office. Make checks payable to English Lutheran.
Hungry Jar: At each worship service, children in our congregation collect coins and dollar bills from worshippers for our Hungry Jar. During the school year, our Sunday School classes pick an organization that alleviates poverty for children and families - whether it's local or global - and our Ministry Council designates the summer months.
Communion Fund: Worshippers are able to give to our Communion Fund online or in the green envelopes found in the pews. This fund was set up by Pastor Guttormason many years ago to help individuals and families in our community. Most worshippers give a dollar or two each week. These gifts are used to provide gas for people to get to work, help with Xcel Energy bills, and more. Monthly support is also sent to WAFER and WINN, Inc. from this fund.
