TRIP TO VIETNAM
In March of 2003, Lee Johnson and Carol Showalter traveled to Vietnam to serve and bring medical supplies for the Children of Peace International.

Julie DeHart (pictured below), an orphan in Vietnam, was adopted by American parents. She traveled back to find her family and visited the orphanage from which she came.

About Children of Peace International
On April 30, 1975 Binh Rybacki (then Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh) and her family fled Vietnam as Communist troops overran Saigon and settled in the United States to start new lives.

In 1993, Binh returned to Vietnam, located the rest of her family, and began to make peace with her home country.

Unable to leave things as she found them, Binh began Children of Peace International (COPI) to help improve the lives of orphans and street children.

Current projects and activities of Children of Peace in Vietnam include: schools and orphanages, scholarships, micro-loan programs, hospital support, an HIV center, community support, medical missions, and adoption.
