New Member Orientation
Joining English Lutheran takes place in January, May, and September. Those who want to join English Lutheran Church are invited to a New Member Orientation and Faith Workshop.
The orientation provides an introduction to our church and an opportunity to meet our pastors, lay leaders and
other new members.
The Faith Workshop provides a deeper look at your spiritual gifts and the programming English Lutheran offers.
There are two parts to the orientation and you should be available to attend both parts:
Part 1 – April 15 from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
Part 2 – April 18 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
New Member Sunday: April 21st/22nd
If you are interested in membership,
please call Jennifer Jones at the church office, 784-9335.

BETHLEHEM EVENT - (volunteer sheet - MS Word)
Every four years English Lutheran Church re-creates the village of Bethlehem with over 300 actors in the cast, live animals and crowded, noisy streets. This ultimate "Reality Show" invites the 5,000 visitors to experience the birth of our savior in a vivid and life changing way. December 20-21, 2008 was our last Bethlehem Event.
Our next Bethlehem Event will be in December, 2013! Visit our 2004 page or our 2008 page.
Blessing of the Animals
On October 2nd, 2011 at 1:00 p.m., English Lutheran Church invited children and adults, members and non-members alike to bring their pets to our courtyard for a blessing. Cats, dogs, parakeets and gerbils all received a blessing as part of God’s wonderful creation.
Care Givers Support Group
Our caregivers support group offers a safe and nonjudgemental gathering place for anyone who is responsible for the care and support of another. We meet the 4th Monday of each month at 6:30-7:30 pm. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal-topics and format vary as needs dictate. "What happens or is shared in this group stays in this group" and this allows freedom to be "just for you" without worry! The group is co-faciliated by Mary Fitzpatrick (who is a caregiver both personally and professionally as an RN - specializing in geriatrics) and Pastor Mark Shaw. You can share or listen-come each month or as you need to. Contact English for more information about the group or call to find out where we will be meeting on a given month. We would love to have you stop by and join us-it will make a difference!
Home Communion
The pastors of English Lutheran Church bring the Sacrament of Holy Communion to our shut in members each month. If you would like a pastor to call or have any questions, please contact Jennifer Jones at the church office.
Prayer Chain
We have a network of "pray-ers" here at ELC that pray for specific needs/issues of our church, its members, and our world and community. Please contact Jennifer Jones at 784-9335 if you would like to be a part of this very special ministry.
